Collaborative Problem Solving

Today our class done Collaborative Problem Solving in groups of six. After, we created a DLO (Digital, learning subject) about problem solving, our first challenge was to add all values, and our best stragergy to solve the problem was algorithim. My partners and I worked together to get the work done!

Traffic Light System

Today my group and I created a DLO about traffic light system. The traffic light system is sort of a paragraph, topic sentence (start), elaborating (middle) and closing (ending), these are the three names for the paragraph. All of them are mixed so we tried to find out which one goes first.

Today Ana and I did a DLO about Collaborative Problem Solving. As you can see Ana and I were trying to solve the challenge and the super challenge. It was difficult to solve both problem, But we managed to solve the maths problem together.

Today Ana and I did a DLO about Collaborative Problem Solving. As you can see I tried to solve an problem, the problem was kinda hard so I got a bit of help from my friend. Let try and solve a problem, let try 12 x 87. First split the 87 to 80 and 7. Next you do 12 x 80 = 960 and then you do 12 x 7 = 84. After that you plus 960 and 84 together you will get 1044 and  1044 is your answer.

Today for maths I created a DLO. We couldn't use algorithm because that's what my teacher said, instead we use place value. By figuring out the answer was by using partitioning and using it in my head. This DLO was really easy to work out.

Today in the morning Mahaleah and I created a DLO. The DLO was about Partitioning to solve problems. Partitioning is dividing in parts. In the future I want improve in my maths and getting higher grades.

The key competencies in room 6

WALT: understand the key competencies and what they mean.
This week in room 6 we learnt about key competencies and what they are. They stand for trump.
The KCs are thinking, relating to others, using languages, symbols, managing self and participating and contributing.
They are important because they help us do the right thing in all time.
Using them in class will help everybody to get to know each other.
